sisters in the wall
whisper me vague intentions
to burn down the school
work over knowledge
siphon up into the clouds
skyward sea of ash
unneeded effort
from thousands of lost teenies
fills up in my lungs
at last I choke out
throw a peace sign to the world
make out with the flames
linked ’round the pyre
teenies held hands and chanted,
“he was beautiful”
sudden occurrence
collective epiphany
young ones squeezed harder
with elegant grace
and a kick off the pavement
the children let go
